I first caught the flying bug when I was quite young. It grew into a full-blown passion, and has since turned into a spectacular career. Professionally I fly the Boeing 767 for Kalitta Air, a Part 121 ACMI Cargo Airline. On the side I also am a ferry pilot for the Patriots Jet Team in the L-39 Albatros/Sabreliner 60, and fly as a B-25 PIC with The Collings Foundation.
Photography was a way for me to connect with pilots when I was younger going to airshows. I always was carrying a camera around when I was on family trips, and over time it was discovered that taking photos at airshows was a great intro to meeting people.
While flying keeps me quite busy today, I still love getting behind the camera and shooting. More often than not though, I find myself organizing shoots and flying the subject aircraft as I have formation experience in piston, turboprop and turbojet aircraft.
If you have interest in setting up an air to air photoshoot with an aircraft, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information!
